A Sailor attempting to return home to Cley is saved from a snow drift
by a mysterious stranger.
Early 19th century Norfolk, minus 20 degrees.
A sailor is lost on his way home.
He meets an old man who points him on his way.
Soon he returns home.
To pay the man back, he takes him food and rum. But when he gets to the cottage he discovers that the man is dead and has been for ten years.
