On a gloomy October night in 1879,
Dr. Augustus Jessop visited Mannington Hall to collect rare books to study.
He noticed a large shadow watching him read. When his hand passed the book, the book disappeared. To this day, every night on October 10th, you can still see the mysterious ghostly figure wander round the library.
